La Case du Pecheur is a 15 room seaside lodge at Anse Bambous, near Bambous Virieux in the Grand Port district, on the south east coast of Mauritius, built around its own barachois, a fish farm at a river mouth that supplies the oysters, crabs and lobster served at its restaurant. The lodge is built of stone, wood and thatch, with the Bambous mountains behind it and the lagoon in front. Every room has a sea view veranda, there is an outdoor pool and a small private beach, and nature trails lead from the lodge into the mangrove forest.
