Important Notice:
Please note that the meeting point is not the actual starting point of the hike. Once all participants have arrived, they will need to follow the guide either in their taxi or rental car to the trailhead, located approximately 6 km away at the foot of Le Morne Brabant mountain
Participant Guidelines:
- Group size: 4–12 participants
- Minimum age requirement: 10 years
- If the minimum group size is not reached, the excursion will be rescheduled by the supplier
- Minors must be accompanied by a paying adult or have parental authorisation
- Participants must be physically fit to undertake the activity
- Hiking shoes or sports shoes with good traction are recommended
- What to bring: sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, at least 1.5L of water, and a light snack (e.g. cereal bars or fruit)
About
Le Morne Brabant is a 556-metre UNESCO World Heritage mountain in southwest Mauritius, known for its stunning views and deep historical significance as a refuge for escaped slaves. The hike offers panoramic scenery of the turquoise lagoon, coastline, and hills, leading to a rewarding summit viewpoint after a short rocky section. It is an adventurous experience combining nature, history, and breathtaking island views.
Incredible experience, the view was worth every step. The highlight had to be the two experienced guides Béatrice and Tatyana, they were patient, provided great historic insight and guidance.
