Domaine L'Arbre du Voyageur is an eco guest house of nine lodges on Mare Longue Road near Tamarind Falls, in the green uplands of Vacoas on the central plateau of Mauritius, with its own restaurant and quad trips to the Mare Longue reservoir. Each lodge has a private terrace over the garden, and a small river runs past the lodges. It is a base for hiking and waterfall days rather than a beach stay: Grand Bassin, Alexandra Falls and the trails of Black River Gorges National Park are all a short drive away, and the lodges have heaters for the cooler upland nights.
