About
Set on a breathtaking lagoon, Chantauvent is a charming guesthouse situated in Pointe d’Esny, near Mahébourg, on the South East coast of Mauritius. Mahebourg is a colourful and lively town, steeped in Mauritian history. Fishermen and shopkeepers ply the streets, adding to the rich and dynamic atmosphere of this coastal treasure. The guesthouse is divided into the seaside and a garden side with a pool. Chantauvent is the perfect place to relax and enjoy simplicity.

- Depending on the winds and tides, the tables are set facing the sea, on the decking or in the dining room and the guests can always enjoy the magnificent view of the lagoon. An event to celebrate? The restaurant can also be booked for your special occasions

Activities
- Take advantage of the most beautiful lagoon of the island, with all the free available activities. You will find masks, flippers, and tubas, a stand-up paddle, kayak, to admire the sea bed in front of Chantauvent, and at some hundreds of meters find the magnificent (classified) marine park of Blue Bay, a real garden of coral.
Good location. The room was small. Water was leaking from the ceiling as it was raining one night. There was no other room available. Food was okay.

Delightful little place. It could use some updating but it's kept clean. Amazing snorkeling just outside, please be careful with the coral.

Force Majeure:
- Lockdown protocol: If a booking falls within a Lockdown period/Government restriction, it will automatically be cancelled and refunded as a store credit in your MariDeal account only
- Cyclone protocol: If a booking falls within Cyclone Class 3 or above, the reservation will be postponed or cancelled subject to merchant's aproval (if cancelled, it will be refunded in the form of store credit to your MariDeal account)
